I bought a Thumler Tumbler with 5lbs of the stainless pin media and I really like it so far. I've run about 5 batches of brass theu it with dish washing liquid and the brass comes out real clean. Not as bright and shiny as with dry media+Flitz but I didn't add Flitz to any of my liquid batches. So in a nutshell, I like it better than the vibratory model that I have.

Where do you find ceramic media and does it clean as well as walnut or corncob? This something I need to look into. I am a nut when it comes to clean brass, I know they don't shoot any better but I like shiny.

you can not use it on bottle neck cases, I use it for my .40-65 blackpowder cases, it gets them so clean that I do not even have to clean the primer pocket, the cases are just as shiny on the inside as the outside

I purchased my material from Buffalo Arms, just google it, Midway might have it

Stainless steel media, some dove, some lemon juice, some water, some brass. Throw them in a thumblers, or any home made functional look alike (I have seen the big two liter bottles work) and tumble for a about two hours. More if you want to use your brass for emergency flashers, like me.

The initial cost is higher. The long term benefits: no more bridging in the primer pocket or for smaller cases, like 222 or 223, internal bridging of the media. Primer pockets and inside of cases come clean like brand new. No more dust. No more scratched dies from that stinking red walnut. You will never ever ever buy media again. And Shiny like the Sun. Really.

what is the size of the stainless media?

can it be used in necked down cases such as .243?

I couldn't belive it got a Midway flyer in the mail and on page 9 there was a tumbler for stainless and the media. This is looking more intersting all the time.
