One of the young men from my youth group brought a bow to me that his father gave him before he drowned two years ago. He wants to fix it. I've looked it over and everything but the bow string looks ok. The bow string is gone. It's a Clearwater Archery compound with double cams. Definitely a place to start, but with great caution for sure. As I will probably be footing most of cost how much is a bow string?

You can get a string from many places and can get many different qualities of strings from $15-75. If you want a good affordable string look for one made from Dynaflight 10 or Force 10. You should be able to get a good custom string for around $20-$30 made.
