I got my new upper in Wednesday (i ordered before the panic) and dummy me didn't know i had to fit a different buffer. So now i can charge my rifle shoot it, it ejects the shell but it does not pick up the next round. Can load one round into a magazine and charge it, fire the round but the bolt does not lock back. I know its not ammo or mag issues. Im not very smart when it comes to this but my buddys say its a buffer issue. Either the buffer is to light making the bolt move to fast not letting the lock or mags function quick enough or the bolt is not moving back far enough. Was Hoping to call yotes Wednesday morning.... there's always something i guess.

If your bolt didn't lock back on the last round/empty chamber, could be short stroking,if that's the case it might be a gas system issue. Also check the carrier key and make sure the bolts are tight.

Was your lower functioning right with the old upper on it?
Is the new barrel shorter or longer than the old one?

If it is a buffer issue,a H2 should fix it.
