Has anyone been out trying to get some sauger? I tend to go to Cordell Hull, but haven't gone in a while (about a month), and then I only got a couple of keepers.

Below Cordell Hull in the river is the only place I ve fished for them,did ok,its been a few years.

Yeah, that's the best spot to go, and right below the dam (which I guess ends in April). I have not heard any recent reports if they are hitting hard yet, cause they should be picking up soon

The fishing was very slow there today. Only caught one keeper.

Thanks for the update. Maybe it will pick up soon, my freezer is empty and it needs to be full of those fish.

I've only used minnows on a jig, but I may try a grub next time if the minnows arent working

Never know one day theres no keepers then the next you can limit. Just depends which generators are on.
