There are no deer in Obion County.
Going to see if I can catch some trout. \:\)
Be back shortly.

Well it was worth the trip to me anyway.
Caught one literally SECONDS after throwing in a hook with a float and 3 pieces of corn on it.

Then it was probably 45 minutes later when I caught the second one (smaller of the two) on a rooster tail.

Don't think I have ever fished in December before. \:D

I noticed the lack of a fin on the bigger one, looked to be worn off. I guess that is from swimming in a concrete pool for a while.
It was a female, had a little egg sack, or whatever you call it, about an inch long and about as big around as a, well it was about 1/8" in diameter.

Sorry for the lack of something for size comparison in the picture.
One was about 12" long and the other 11".

What was weird was how fast I caught the first one and then nothing.
Very strange.

Different fish for sure.

The stockers often have broken and missing fins. Fun to catch though. I gotta wait till January because of this stupid river bank restoration. I could try spring hill, marrowbone lake but for a few stocker trout I'd rather be closer to home

Keep posting pics, even though all the fish look the same, I like reading your posts. \:D

I think it's because they roam around a lot and so you may wait a while before they come back around to your side of the lake

Gonna take a bucket today and do alot more moving around I think.

Throw it out there, let it drift in the wind a bit, maybe cast again, then move.

We will see how that works.
