if you go with remington the triggers are easy to adjust and are as good as the accutriggers but stay away from the model 710 725 and 770

I had great customer service with Savage. They replaced the barrel of my 204 with no problem.

270 it faster and flatter shooting, I don't like savage rifles so I'd get a Remington 700 in 270

Dealer's choice. Either caliber is good for most things. My preference is 308, although I've killed many a deer with 270 just as dead.

I've always shot a Remington and no troubles here. However, I hear the Savage Accutrigger is pretty slick.
