It would be relatively easy to make a video that showed modern rifles blowing up in similar fashion due to plugging their barrels or whatever.

I've only been witness to one gun explosion. It was the guy sitting next to me at a range in Memphis, and it was a 30-06 that blew up. I had pieces of wood all over me! The guy was amazingly uninjured, though.

Muzzleloaders are pretty simple - open the directions, buy the powder for that gun and a recommended bullet weight. Notch the ram rod while the barrel is empty, and that way you always have an easy reminder as to whether the gun is loaded or not.

My dad would also notch the rod when the bullet was seated, to help him tell whether future loads were against the powder or not.

Things I would like to see: incorrect seating of bullet, Double powder load, Double bullet load (when seated ontop of bullet no space), and a realistic smokeless powder load w/ a common weight bullet.

Won't be done by manufacturer. Liability reasons cause some dumb butt will go out and copy it.
