lol, no. didnt see a deer I wanted in TN, KY, OR IL. but i have had firends shoot a few does for me

Christmas eve grill deer shoulder on grill, that has been marinating in, mustard, garlic, black pepper and soy sauce for 3 days.

Going to let the mother in law do the cooking. But I do have a roll of venision summer sausage and cheddar cheese to snack on!

I saved that to my favorites,I'll be trying it soon.I don't have deer stock,so i'll be useing beef stock like the recipe calls for.

Ok, the dish came out good. Couple of things to consider. Chuck Roasts have a good bit of marbling so it is necessary to add some bacon to compensate. The ingredients are fairly "vinegary" so you need some fat to compensate. I originally added a 3 or 4 pieces of bacon, but about halfway through, based upon the vinegar smell, I added another 4 pieces of bacon.
We did it in the crocpot since we knew the venison would takes couple of hours longer. We also added Bay leaves and juniper berries to the recipe. -looking forward to Italian sandwiches with the leftovers.
We served with Italain bread on the side and Mozzarella cheese on top.
