Just one thought about the video. I have a Bushmaster AR15 and AR10. On both rifles the charging handle is on the back of the bolt, not on the right side. In the video, the officer was working the action by grabbing the charging handle on the right side of the bolt. That either wasn't the rifle of the shooter or wasn't an AR.

I agree, it didnt look like a AR to me either, hard to tell video is dark.

Looked like a High Point shotgun with a pistol grip..

LOTS of inconsistancies in this shooting.

That was not an M4 platform he was emptying in the trunk scene.
