I was wondering once you have lime spread, how long does this typically last before you have to lime again?

I've always considered a 3 year cycle for putting out about a ton/acre. OF course the 1st application may very well require 2 tons/acre or even more if the area hasn't been used for agriculture recently.

There's nothing to taking a soil sample and having your ground tested. It's the best way to get accurate recommendations. Here in SW Tn you could lime 2 tons/acre going in blind.

For me.........when the money comes in!!!! \:D
But every 3 years is what we average i would say. I have never met a field in Tennessee in Wayne county that couldnt use more lime.....and never seen one that had too much!!!.....it dont happen over there!!
