Anybody have one in a compact .40 and if so how do you like it? I used to have a glock 27 and liked it but was always leery of having it loaded with no true safety so I sold it. Got the itch for another 40 and noticed some of the M&P's have a safety and like how they fit in my hand.

I know that a lot of people like the M&P
The Ruger SR9c or SR40c guns are nice compact guns with a saftey also.

I had a M&P 9mm (not compact). I liked it. It shot very well. Eventually though, I just realized I'm in love with Glocks and I sold it.
If I'm carrying, the lack of manual safety on a Glock doesn't concern me. A proper holster will cover & secure the trigger.
I think the M&P is a great gun and I doubt you'd be disappointed with it.

Been carrying a M&P 40 w/Crimson Trace grip for years now, great pistol, light weight for a full size weapon. Functions flawlessly ALL the time.
