Aren't they supposed to make a big announcement today? I'm waiting to re-up myself, to see what this big announcement is. Supposedly to make a meaningful contribution to help insure that this kind of tragedy doesn't happen again, or something along that line. I'm hearing rumors, RUMORS mind you, that it is a cave in to ban whatever congress deems appropriate...but again, just what I'm hearing from other folks as hearsay.

MUP, those are my concerns, as well. I don't know if it will be a total cave, but I do expect some concessions, which I will oppose. I, too, am waiting to re-up for these reasons.

The general hunting public will sit on their hands, doing nothing as usual, while the banners gather steam and turn our nation into another dictatorship.
If you do not trust the NRA, join Gun Owners of America (http://gunowners.org/), the Second Amendment Foundation, who was responsible for the Heller and McDonald Supreme Court wins (http://www.saf.org/), or the Tennessee Firearms Association, the reason you have any semblance of firearms Rights in TN (www.tfaonline.org).

No truer words have been posted on here!!!!
I've been on here and other hunting talk forums 12 years and only ONE SINGLE TIME have I seen hunters in enough numbers come out and make a difference.
Now there are a dozen and more times EVERY YEAR where a SMALL GROUP of hunters get together to help another hunter out. But a large group, forget it, never happen.
