Has anyone been out trying to get some sauger? I tend to go to Cordell Hull, but haven't gone in a while (about a month), and then I only got a couple of keepers.

Yeah, that's the best spot to go, and right below the dam (which I guess ends in April). I have not heard any recent reports if they are hitting hard yet, cause they should be picking up soon

Thanks for the update. Maybe it will pick up soon, my freezer is empty and it needs to be full of those fish.
By the way, what do you use?

I've only used minnows on a jig, but I may try a grub next time if the minnows arent working

I was around 231 bridge Monday. Fished for 4 hours, had one bite resulting in me netting a 6.04 lb walleye. No saugers. Walleye came on 1 Oz red football jig w/white hair skirt and a two inch rootbeer flake twister tail, no minnow.

I wouldnt mind a 6 pound walleye haha. But it sounds like sauger fishing is somewhat slow throughout the state, hope it picks up soon to fill up the freezer.
