I have not read anything that said steel shot was illegal to use.... but the shot does have to be #4 or smaller.

And steel shot is illegal, but I do not know why anyone would want to use it. It just passes through the animals while lead goes in and expands and makes shapes and tears way more tissue.
No, steel shot is not illegal.
Shot size larger than size 4 is illegal no matter what it is made of.

I don't know about yalls turkey loads but mine do not expand, I've only pulled intact bbs out of my turkeys before. I shoot win supreme turkey loads, I think they are copper coated.

3" Winchester #6's here out of a Win 1300. Have killed a couple at near 70 steps. If you don't think it can be done, don't pull the trigger. If you do let her eat. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The 3's shoot more accurately for some people as well. When they shoot 3.5's they tend to shut their eyes and grit their teeth. Just can't hit what you can't see.

I shoot both 3 and 3.5 in my guns but usually shoot 3".
There is a ton of FAIL in this thread though hahah.
