Good looking rig. You'll love the claw sling. I have them on most of my rifles and my turkey gun. Don't have a .223 so no help on bullets but if Fusion makes one I'd try it. They're wicked in a .243.

Had to look twice...camo blends into carpet very well.
20" Barrel its is yes. And i would start with -
http://www.hornady.com/store/223-Rem-40-gr-V-MAX/ http://www.hornady.com/store/223-Rem-53-gr-V-MAX-Superformance/ http://www.hornady.com/store/223-Rem-55-gr-V-MAX/
It is a 1:12 barrel so could possibly have issues with bullets over 55gr but you will have to run some to see. Hornaday has the best selection of factory ammo that i know of and that i can speak 1st hand of. if you would want to get in to handloading there are several bullets to choose from and you can taylor a load for that specific rifle and twist. as i offered before anytime you wanna try a few different loads/bullet combination to find the "right" ammo just let me know.
BTW really good looking rig

I'd go with the V-Max. They are bad to the bone splinters.

Thanks everyone I am tickled. I can't wait to fire her up and see what she will do.
Mid, thanks for the information. I guess I will try all three of those and see if there is any difference between them (or how much) and go from there.
If all three shot fine out of your rifle, which one would you choose?

I would choose the 55 gr. Because thats the most popular which means easier to find.

55gr VMAX for sure. Terminal preformance is fantastic and the "out of the box" ballistics from Hornaday is, IMO, second to none in factory varmint loads. I did a little more reading last evening on bullets and a 1:12 twist, some have been getting good results & accuracy with FB ballistics tips such as the VMAX(Flat Base), however they have been running them very hard to keep them stabilized. If the 55gr pills can give you MOA accruacy out to your maximum comfortable range thats is what i would choose, if not it may take several test runs with different load offerings to find the sweet spot. with a dedicated predator rig i would accept nothing but 1/2 MOA accuracy or less out to my maximum comfortable range (in my case, my rifle that is 300yrds with the 77gr OTM's). Accuracy in a big game rifle is important...in a predator rifle it is imperative.
