I say the first, use it to draw them sicko's wussy's in and be heavily armed(dont need no training to take out such scum) and put them 6 ft under.
Second sign will only make them keep moving and looking for a soft target and you'll never get a shot!
Another tragedy aborted! Another bottom feeder removed!Money saved!
Another chance to save this country.

I'm inclined to say "Neither".
If the problem was as simple as hanging a sign, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
It's the threat associated with sign #2 that deters criminals. THAT is where we seem to have a disconnect between weak-kneed liberals and reality.
We're a society of "all talk". Maybe it's the internet chat forums that gives people confidence in words. But words (or signs) never stopped a dang thing.
You want a sign that will stop criminals? Start putting a sign that says
"127 people have been shot dead during the commission of crimes in this county - Do you want to be next?".
very similar to the "XX people have drowned in this lake" signs.
