Gonna do a venison rendition of this Hot & Spicy Italian Drip Beef recipe for Christmas day. Going to use a rump roast and venison stock. -should be excellent.

What are y'all doing?

The past few years we've grilled deer steaks on Christmas Eve. Christmas day is family potluck. With two wild kids in my house, I simply prepare bread pudding the night before and place in the oven the next day.

It's a Christmas morning ritual at my Mom's house to have some backstrap seasoned, breaded, and fried in a cast iron skillet and served with homemade biscuits and gravy. Christmas Dinner will be slow simmered venison minute steaks over rice and gravy with veggies to be determined.

We bake a backstrap, then slice into medallions with béarnaise sauce, fresh green beans, new potatoes and sour dough dinner rolls. Top it off with a good bottle of Pino Noir

Wow some good sounding stuff going on in here! I'm planning on grilling up some bacon wrapped backstraps. I could eat that stuff every day and never tire of it.

You haven't killed any deer this season?
