any redneck ways to convert your regular outboard to a jet? like adding a duct to the lower unit or something... my motor is air cooled too. Would make a good off season project if the outcome is actually practical... lol
I used to have a setup very similar to yours, just carry extra shear pins and keep the motor unlocked so it can kick up if you hit something. It don't have enough weight and power to break anything if you drive it right. You might ding up the prop some but no biggie. I had a "river prop" and a "lake prop" just changed them out as seen fit. I'd love to convert my new boat to a jet but can't justify the cost until I break something, lol
