old hand at compounds but I gave in and got a cross bow.
I have always built my own arrows but time constraints are leaning me to using the horton shaft the I just bought with 3" vanes
How much steering do these short arrows need?
Should I even try the 3" vanes at all

last year I went to the Blazer vanes on my bolts and they worked well.

i am shooting blazer 2" vanes ion my gold tip laser II shafts i like them very well

i believe my carbon express surge have 4" vanes they shoot extremely well

I shot Thunderheads all my bowhunting life but they didn't do well in my xbow. Had to go with Spitfires.
