Oh man they're easy. I simply remove their heads then slice along their belly to remove the innards. Place a quarter of a lemon and some butter inside then cook in the oven in a roasting pan. They are awesome, my favorite by far!

Nah, no scraping because no scales. I remove the heads too, but you don't even have to do that.

Of course you'll want to wash them out really well inside and remove any veins. You won't be disappointed.

Gut the trout, nail it to a board and bake at 350 for 30 minutes, scrape it off the board and eat the board. Lol. I cut I to strips when removing the y bones even though they are too small to worry about. When I get strips I bread and fry them because I don't like the taste of trout much but they are good fried.

any thing wrapped in bacon is good! we fillet and fry in butter or bacon grease. bentons bacon grease is best!
