Make sure you check out an elite bow. Very easy on the shoulder. One I set up Saturday was holding 7.2 lbs at 67 lb draw.

My recommendation is to find as many different bows as you can, and shoot each one with an open frame of mind and go with what feels the best—that is the best bow....for you. There are many quality bows out there, and with today's technology there is just minor differences between them that will be felt by the individual shooter.
You hit the nail on the head. Don't let anybody sway your opinion torwards a certain brand. Best advice you could get.

Go to Smoket mnt Archery here in Seymour, and see what they have used. They didn't have anything used in left handed when I was looking, but knew a guy that did. I ended up buying a loaded Mathews Z7 that had been used just one year, for a unbelievable price.

I ended up buying a loaded Mathews Z7 that had been used just one year, for a unbelievable price.
Great bow, sometimes I wish I would have gotten it instead. I had the same "unbelievable deal" on a Monster and I love the way it shoots, but dang you cant let it down once you draw. z7 is sweet. I second everyone elses opinion on trying a bunch of different bows before you buy, but I bet if you lay hands on a good used switchback, outback, or drenalin you won't be laying hands on another.

I'd go shoot some different brands and see what you like. Don't over look Elite. Very easy to draw and lifetime transferable warranty.

Get a used Mathews. X2 on smoky mountain pro archery. They are top notch.

i feel that as long as you can pu a sharp broad head in the boiler room they all will do the job.but i would look into the mathews single cams they are smooth an you can look around what draw weight works for your shoulder. good luck i shoot an old high country ultra one.

Look at getting something @ 60 lbs. a lot more comfortable to shoot.

I know with your injury you cant easily pull back a 70lb bow. That being said im sure u want that smooth draw and smooth release at the same time looking for something that spits out some high numbers. When it comes to a shorter draw weight bow a bowtech is ur best bet. I shoot mathews always have amd always will.. If my shop had a bowtech I wud shoot one instead. The captain, Guardian, assason, alegience are the best models for your easy transition that will still spit em out over 300.
