But, to answer the OP's question, Yes, I see then occasionally around Blount County.
I've seen several. It's been years though. Haven't seen one since right after I got married. Been about 9 years ago. Maybe my eyes are fading on me or something.
Is this serious? I see them (or at least their damage) in Sumner, Davidson, Cheatham and Rutherford Counties all along the Cumberland tributaries. I also see them in Hickman and Perry counties where we hunt.
there is a large dam(NOT melton hill ) just off hwy95 in oak ridge. i have also seen them on tellico lake. i have seen damage below norris dam on the clinch river.
