While everyone's attention is diverted by the shooting in Connecticut, Boehner has caved on taxes and has offered to raise the debt ceiling for at least a year:

Sure there was because that is the only way it gets passed— Boehner is a coward and he will learn a lesson that he should have already known...Obama will say anything to get what he wants and then goes back on what he promises or agrees to.

OF COURSE the rich need to pay more.
OF COURSE the poor need to receive more.
It is after all, only fair.
Remember this as you go about your 80+ hour work week.
Remember it as you gladly pay your 55% (combined Fed/State/Local) taxes.
Count yourself lucky you aren't forced to stay at home all day in the house you purchased with a government backed loan you didn't qualify for; watching Oprah on your new 50" 3D TV; texting your friends on the latest iPod you stood in line for while the "suckers" went to work; planning your next party via Facebook updates on the smartphone you can afford; while waiting impatiently for your government checks to be delivered via the outdated "snail mail" because you don't have a bank account the U.S. government could use to make direct deposits!
