High powered rifle shots at midnight.

There have been several lately near my house. Yesterday one was fired at 0500cst. Then just now there was a shot fired. These are close enough that they wake me up. I haven't been able to see a light being shined but I'm always looking after the crack/BOOM of the rifle's report.
For the past few weeks this has been happening once or twice a week, just wondering how to handle it and if there's anything that can be done. Thank you!

every shot you here at night is a hog hunter no way they would be shooting deer. they have made it way to easy for poachers!!!

Call 911 or the poaching hotline. Landowners can not be shooting hogs at night unless they obtain an exemption. Therefore, if it was done in the name of hog control, we would know whether or not the shooting was legally conducted.

I reported someone shining a light and 2 shots fired 2 years ago. It was at the end of deer season and the GW told me I should have called earlier in the deer season so he would have a better chance of catching someone. There was no spotlighting earlier in the year so no reason to call.

All year. Landowners have to have the exemption to go outside of normal hunting methods, including hunting at night.

I appreciate your replies. It seems to me that this person would be very difficult to catch because there's almost always only one shot fired. One time they fired twice but I've not yet been able to see a light. I also know the GW's are experienced at catching them and probably have a few tricks up their sleeves.
Poachers have different MOA's and I think this guy could be using a light-gathering scope during the brighter moon phases. I'm going to call the poaching hotline and pass the information along.
