It might be the trigger and spread country wide. Throw in a Zimmerman acquittal and tensions will be extremely high.

I guess that's why Detroit has degenerated into a city-wide slum from the stinking bowels of Hell, where crime is constant, the city is bankrupt, people are moving out abandoning their homes, and they're so broke they can't afford enough police to respond to anything but the most heinous of crimes.

To what extent there is ANY truth to this statement, let's keep in mind it was the other 49 states that paid for it per federal government bail-outs, and it was mostly the UAW that destroyed Michigan's auto manufacturing industry.

Krauthammer had an excellent take on the UAW.
He said it was an anomaly. Detroit benefited from post WW 2 destruction of Japan and most of Europe. They had 50 years with almost no competition driving wages far above true market value. They became USED TO royal treatment and will have to get USED TO competing for jobs or loose them entirely.
