I posted this in someone else's thread and never got an anwser so I thought it needed it's own thread.
My question is, say you're in unit L and have shot 2 bucks thus far. You hit a third but can't find it after severl hours of looking, so you then shoot another buck then stumble across the one you lost. Are you now at a possible risk of a fine for shooting four bucks? How as a hunter do you handle it?

IMO it would be illegal for you to possess the fourth buck as it puts you over the season bag limit.
These types of what-ifs are best handled one on one with the officer that would be issuing the citation.

SCN what if I shoot into a heard of deer hit the buck that I was aiming and the bullet went through him and hit 3 other bucks. Then a 5th buck croked of a heart attack and the 6th ran in front of a car and got hit but the driver drove off. What would you do if I called you and asked what bucks to tag
Hey it is FRIDAY so everyone that gets to hunt have a safe time and hope all the TWRA stays safe weekend as the end is near

Thanks scn for the quick response. I had this discussion with a fellow hunter who said it would be OK to keep all bucks in question. I argued the fact saying it was a way to "skirt' the law.
