"safety" since 2009, three fatalities, one serious injury and 10 near misses/rescues have occurred in hazardous waters immediately downstream of dams on the Cumberland River and its adjoining tributaries. 14 people have died in these areas since 1970.

While one death is too many, of the 14 deaths, I wonder how many were wearing life vests and going by the rules set forth as far as distance from the dam etc.

Very sad and scary stuff.

If fishermen had any stones, they would organize protest days and put 100 boats on the river. Violate the new safety zones, catch a bunch of fish and dump them in DeLapp's yard.

This government has gotten out of control.

I was thinking along the same lines. If a whole lot of fishermen would go fish from their boats below the dams at the same time, I'd be one of them for sure.
