There is one up in a pond own buy a company that has been trying to kill them out for the past 2 years.
Only thing they do is just move on down the creek then they reproduce again then their off spring goes right back to that pond again.
What kind of season we got one beaver ?

Anyone ever seen a Beaver in Central or East TN?
I've seen several beavers now in and around Knoxville and in Central TN. Is this a serious question? Extremely common in Bradley and Polk counties...?

Loads of them here by the house. They try every year to dam up the river to no avail. The dam on the creek is 3ft tall or so and growing. See lots of muskrats and a few mink too.

This might get as many post's as the bear thread. I'm thinking the thread will be locked before then. It won't take long before this one goes into the gutter. But, to answer the OP's question, Yes, I see then occasionally around Blount County. I've seen several. It's been years though. Haven't seen one since right after I got married. Been about 9 years ago. Maybe my eyes are fading on me or something.

Is this serious? I see them (or at least their damage) in Sumner, Davidson, Cheatham and Rutherford Counties all along the Cumberland tributaries. I also see them in Hickman and Perry counties where we hunt.

I wish Cumberland County had a tremendous population of beaver so a guy could do some serious trapping and catch a few.........

Beaver started showing up in the mid to late 1970s. They were scarce at first then really took off. I've been told they were stocked around some of the old coal strip mining areas to control erosion but I have no proof of that. Now they're everywhere you look.

I've seen hundreds of them.
Love to fish around the huts they make all over Cordell hull. Me and a buddy were flipping jigs around a hut a couple years ago. My buddies line jumped and he set the hook, into the side of a 40 lb beaver! When we figured out what he had he didn't want to cut the line, he wanted to land it. He said when I get it up to the boat (which took 30 minutes) you hit it over the head with the paddle. He gets it up and I hit it with all I had, broke the paddle and the beaver appears dead. We lift it into the boat and he says get the camera, it's under the seat. He was holding it by the back legs while I was taking pics. All the sudden it starts moving and he lets go, it falls in bottom of boat. I'm climbing on top of the front seat and my buddy is sitting on top of the motor. The beaver finally got his bearings straight and went over the side of the boat and into the water. We've had some funny things happen while fishing, can't wait for that awesome spring bite!

There is a beaver dam just across the interstate from UPS on 75 north just outside of knoxville. It is a small creek so I don't figure there is very many there.

That is pretty funny! They have been on Cordell Hull for years. There are now quite a few on Center Hill as well. We saw a few quite a few years ago, but in the last few years, the population has really increased.

They are ruining Little River thru Walland and Townsend. Killing all the mature trees along both sides.
