I'm not sure what it will involve but the Memphis mayor is looking at adopting some new gun laws for Memphis. Anybody got any idea what the changes in the laws would be?

Memphis going to Philadelphia to find ways to stem gun violence...
Is like an obese person going to a pizza buffet to lose weight.

http://www.governing.com/news/local/mct-gunstat-gps-for-firearm-offenders.html
"...In 2012, 98 percent of people convicted of illegal-gun possession have been sentenced to jail time, and fewer than 5 percent of illegal-gun- possession cases this year have been dismissed or withdrawn -- staggering numbers when compared with past lax penalties "Before, you would get arrested, get out on bail, go to trial and get probation. So there was really, in many cases, no period of incarceration as a result of carrying a gun illegally," said Bryan Lentz, who heads the collaborative Gun Violence Task Force for the D.A.'s office and the Attorney General's Office. "As a result of this effort, we can say we are getting more jail sentences on guns than we had in the past."

What a wonderful idea! It will surely have all the scumbags in Memphis down on their knees crying Halleujah to the Mayor for such a wonderful change.
That is because they know they can rob, assault, carjack, and steal with more assurance the victim has obeyed the law and is not armed.
When you elect a jerk, you get stupid laws. Criminals don't obey laws, that's why they are called criminals. What a freaking idiot, for crying out loud this is our Mayor? I pay 2 grand a year in city tax for a green trash can and a village idiot that probably can't even tie his own shoes.
They can fill a jail the size of Fayette County with gun convictions and not one thing will change. Why don't they try educating the kids? Or better yet, their Mom, if they can find her. Nope. Just keep on keeping on in the grand tradition of liberal freaking idiots. Why aren't the existing laws enforced? Just WHAT EXACTLY do they think brought on the unreal number of legally armed citizens in Shelby County? Deer Season maybe?
