A good source for bare root seedlings is the Tennessee Dept. of Forestry nursery. They ship to your county for free and have a wildlife sampler of 100 for $75. http://www.tn.gov/agriculture/publications/forestry/seedlingcatalog.pdf

Cherry barks grow fast shumard have good mast whites are slow growers. We planted about 65k 7 years ago and the cherry barks are twice the size of the whites walnuts and shumards
We planted bald cypress in the low areas and ive been very surprised by their growth with our rainfall average being around 20"'s below normal this year here in hardin co.
