Does the game wardens give out permits to people to spotlight and kill deer on farms where crop damage has been happening?

I have heard of this happening in blount county just checking if it's true or BS

They are called depredation permits. Any officer can issue a depredation permit to a landowner to alleviate damage caused by big game (bears included). The permits may allow means which are not legal otherwise.
