I think you handled it best you could. Never shoot back unless you kill them. You avoided that....now ...call the cops.

I would have literally been in fear for my life and I think my 308 or 40's would have trumped his 22. At the very least, I would have gone to the sheriff. I wonder if he's been growing dope, has a still or is cooking meth over on the other side. You left the property and he had no business shooting at you. I do consider shooting the direction he knew you were should be considered shooting AT you.
Im with you on this. Nobody responds like that unless they got something seriously illegal goin on.

Ditto, what Recurve said. That's some scary stuff. If you have a way out, use it. If you end up shooting someone, it better be because you had no choice and you feared for your life because you will spend the next 5 years and your life savings in court defending yourself.

You handled that alot better than i would have!!!!if he had shot at me, i'd have got down and been hunting him!!!!!probably be in jail i guess cause i wouldn't take kindly to that!!!

If somebody opens fire on me I will return fire until I run out of ammo. I don't take well to that kind of action. Pulled a bird dog loop on him, Sneak up and shot the gun right out of his hands. Idiot
