I want to see a pic of the deer showing the healing wound. Only reason is I know first hand deer survive such hits to that area. A few years back one of the big deer hunting magazines ran an article that basically said such hits were nonexistent and that there was no such thing as non vital zone in that region.

Shot a few in that region that I know for a fact survived. One from a trail cam pic a few weeks later and another doe that I spotted later in the season that had a clear scar on both sides where I shot her.
I aim for low heart shots everytime now. So far so good.

Interesting pic. Notice how the arrow is flexing? I'd wager that arrow hit something solid and just stopped. Doesn;t that flex cause a big loss in velocity?
