I am ready to give up my crossbow now that my rotator cuff is healed and I am looking to get a compound. Anyone have recommendations? I don't need a top of the line 2013 bow, just one I can hunt with and feel confident it it's ability to take down game.

Thanks in advance

My first bow was a Parker. There bows work, are affordable and they have excellent customer service.

Here is a new bow from them for 2013

My recommendation is to find as many different bows as you can, and shoot each one with an open frame of mind and go with what feels the best—that is the best bow....for you. There are many quality bows out there, and with today's technology there is just minor differences between them that will be felt by the individual shooter.

Hey before you buy at the big box stores....hop on down to a real pro shop and see what they have. There is a nice one near to you called Bowhunter Pro Shop. It is on what I call Hwy 321 just before you get into Maryville. If coming from Lenoir City it would be after you pass the Harley Shop and TSC...sits on the left in a little shopping plaza. They carry a bunch of bow lines, and I would guess they know more about working on them than some new hired hand at one of the big chain stores.

Crow Terminator, I actually had them first on my list. I work in Maryville and they have an outdoor range I can shoot at as well.
