No link, but if he took a job with the hilltoppers, the vols could have had him. IMO he would have been a better hire. He teaches football not Sunday school.

People got to stop with the Petrino talk. Yes he has proven he can win, but how can you sit in someones living room and tell their mommma that you are going not only teach them to play football, but become a young man. He lied to his AD, his family, and his team. I would not even let him in my door to recruit one of my kids. JMO.

I'm not going to cast a stone. I think he can do good at WKU and think he is a good hire. I've been given a second chance where I didn't really deserve it so I'm going to say let's see what happens.

I wonder how many coaches and people of influence engage in the same morally wrong sort of activities? My guess would be a lot more than the ones that are caught. He was caught. But you make a very good point. Then again, I wonder how many parents share your ideology. Lots of folks only worry about their kids chances to make a name for themselves and go pro only for their benefit.

Makes me think of Rick Pitino and what he did.

I agree, I think there are many that engage in that activity. As a fan I am glad he is not UT's coach. As a parent I wouldn't want him as a coach/role model. If he has lied to his family how can you trust him to tell you the truth about your son's future in football and life?

Maybe he does well with his second chance, maybe he really did learn from it. Guess we will find out.

On a lighter note, the over/under for neck braces at the game next year is set at 200.

What parent would want their son being influenced by the likes of him for 4-5 years? Just for a difference on the scoreboard?
