Here is the sad thing i shot at him on 11/16 and the dang ML misfired. I had loaded it right after cleaning it on the 3rd, and best i can tell the powder got compromised and just didn't ignite correctly. Good news is he is out in the daytime.

I had a couple of other questions that popped in my mind. My brother wants to bring my Nephew hunting once we put up the two man stand and we can do so without disturbing the area and will do so soon (within the next week). My nephew wants to see him shoot a buck (doesn't matter what size).

1. I really don;t want any of the younger bucks killed now, but I have never taken a kid hunting, so I don;t know if i should mention this one or just let him kill the first spike that comes by to appease my nephew. What would ya'll do?

2. What do you think this deer scores?

i say 115.

if it is a kid let him/her shoot what ever they want to shoot. i set standards for daughter when she (was )hunting now she wants nothing to do with it because i did not make it fun for her so take it from there as to what you should say and do teach them as they go along no all at one time let them get a couple under their belt just imo

No it is not a child shooting simply watching (first season). He just wants to see a buck shot. It would be my brother shooting the deer.
