I hope Jones gets it done but not sure. Will be interesting to see if he can rebuild a program that brian kelly didn't have before him (central michigan and cincy). I think they could have gotten a bigger name if dave hart had a brain and hired a search firm right off the bat instead of publicly getting told no at least 2 times.

I think over all people are happy everyone is just happy that Dooley is gone.
People were also happy when Fulmer was fired..... Let's see, he avg. 9 wins per season and won a N/C.... Just saying the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

I was not happy at all imo i think fulmer should still be there but he isn't Dooley had his chance he blew it it's time to change. Hopefully Jones can get us back to tn football.

Most of the fans had the hire about a C or C+ That's about what I was expecting and about how I feel.

Reality is we got the best that we could. Top coaches aren't knockin at our door for the job. Jones has a winning record. Can he make the transition to the SEC, we'll find out. The fans that are still negative didn't bother to take the time and research this guy. He has what it takes. Either that or they lived in a fantasy land where they actually thought Gruden would be our next coach.

One radio talk show was having callers grade the coaching hire (A through F). They were all over the board.
I think the Gruden bandwagon was upset and the normal fans are going to give him time and see how it plays out. Most of the fans had the hire about a C or C+
I would also add that most Tennessee fans are more upset that Hart failed in the search for a new coach than they are at who was actually hired as the new coach. Hart is an idiot!!!!!! Gruden fans could not see past Gruden and they will always say he should have been hired but he was never very likely to be the new coach in my opinion. The fact that Gruden was not hired cannot be blamed on Hart but the rest of what happened or didn't happen can be blamed on Hart!!
