I quit after seeing the pics of BuckWild's dad earlier in the year. I had dipped for 21 years up until Feb.24 2012

Talk to your doctor about using Chantix.
DON'T DO IT! Chantix is DANGEROUS! It causes depression, suicidal tendencies, heart disease, to name a few. It has been linked to THOUSANDS of lawsuits and MANY deaths.

Have never dipped or smoked. My 16 yr old son has been doing both for the past year. I consider that my biggest failure as a parent.
Until he is 18 you are still in charge of him. Until he is 18, it is illegal for him to do either.
You CAN do something about it until then. After that, it is his choice.

Until he is 18, it is illegal for him to do either. You CAN do something about it until then. After that, it is his choice. Up until a few years ago I had the same attitude. His *ss is mine until he turns 18. Now I have found out it is easy to say but very hard to do. First time I found out he dipped I went through the roof but tried to handle it with the attitude "alright you tried it, now dont do it again". Very hard to control what he does when he is at school and everybody else is dipping, smoking cigarettes or smoking pot. He's got his first job which requires drug testing and he is passing that so I am hoping he is staying away from the pot and or worse. I am willing to bend a little on the dip as long as it not thrown in my face, have found out of all the stuff he could be into dip is probably the least. I am choosing ny battles now and just wished I had sewn his lips shut when he was 14.

I know I should quit but don't want too. I know I'll gain weight if I do. Maybe we can make a pact after hunting season??

I chewed tobbaco for 40 of my 57 years. Tried countless times to quit, never made it past 2 or 3 days till the Dr. threw the big "C" word on me! When I found out I had CANCER, it was amazing how easy it was to quit!!!! Had to go thru 35 rounds of radiation and have been cancer free for 14 months. I pray that you will find a way to quit and not have to go thru the same. May the LORD bless and keep you!

I don't dip, I smoke. Have since I was 14. Every other habit I've been able to quit if I wanted except smoking. You name it, I've tried it for quitting. Latest was Chantix, didn't work. Dang expensive stuff to, $160/mo.
