I think one problem with all these food type deer attractants is that most rely on salt. Based on my years of leaving trail cameras out year round over salt licks, a deer has little to no desire for salt during hunting season. Especially bucks. Mid September is about the end of the line for regular visits to salt on my farm. But most guys buy this stuff about October or November. It should be put out in March or April.

I use mostly Whitetail Institute "30-06 with Protein" or Evolved Habitat's "Rack-Up" - both of which contain a lot of beneficial minerals other than salt but do have enough salt to make the deer want to eat it. The Deer-Caine in all it's forms is great to put out occasionally to get them to eat the healthy stuff even more! Same goes for the various flavors of Buck-Jam liquid.

Now regarding C'mere Deer, all I have ever tried was the liquid and I saw no positive results. Nada. ZIP. I sprayed the stuff all over the plants in front of several trail cameras and never once had a deer show any interest in something covered in that snake oil. They still came to the salt as if the C'Mere Deer wasn't there. Never tried the powder.

I feel embarassed just to say I tried it one time 2 years ago. Buy cheap peanut butter at wally world. Paint it flat black if you don't want other people to see where your feedin deer (remember you can't do this during the season) to bring them in the area. Then just tie it to a tree and cut a 2-3" hole in the bottom so the deer gotta work to get to it. It cost less than a dollar, last weeks, and works better than anything on the "deer market." Give it a try ;\)

I gotta agree with you. Peanut Butter is a good attractant.

I tried C'mere Deer this year in a feeding area that was being hit nightly by a minimum of 5 bucks and 3 does. Had a game cam set up to see how the deer reacted to it. They totally ignored it.
Just my experience. Your mileage may vary.
