I realize that I've not been at this very long, but the fact that I have not yet been able "to close the deal" is starting to get to me. The wife told me that she's going to start wondering what I'm doing if I don't bring something soon. Going out in the morning and she jokingly told me if I don't bring something tomorrow to not bother coming home.
This was all in jest of course but it doesn't change the fact that I am beyond frustrated that I can't connect us beyond frustrating.
Wish me luck.

Kilt nothing my first season. One my second. Two third. And one so far this year.
If you keep at it, it'll happen. I've been ready to throw in the towel a time or two this season but I just can't get away from it.
Best advice I can give is to learn all you can and apply sound doctrine with every hunt and eventually a pattern of success should emerge. Given you're doing things right.
80% luck.

you will get one, and won't forget it. keep going into the woods and sitting where you know the deer use the area. it will happen at some point. Good luck

It's not all about the kill, but just learn from the past. Got to always be willing to learn and turn negatives into positives.

It will happen. Be as scent-free as possible. Spray down thoroughly with scent killing spray. Find some sign (tracks, poop, rubs and scrapes). Try to determine where the deer went or were coming from. Set up close by. If you hunt all day you will connect eventually. Im seeing deer moving during the middle of the day now, so stay on the hunt as much as possible.

I was 29 before I killed my first deer. Dont worry, just keep going and learning and it will happen. good luck.

Simple. Don't pressure yourself. It will happen. If not this year the next.
