Check the rules and reg's first. Some WMA's and counties have specific reg's concerning the use of a boat for turkey.

Yes, but as stated some areas have regs.

Yea i would rather be somewhere I had to use a boat, you can cover a lot more ground. It is usually a kill when we put in the river.

Yea put in before daylight and start floating, or anytime of the day on the river is good. You can cover so much more ground in a boat. It takes us six hours to float from bridge to bridge on our best run, and its usually no question whether there will be a bird in those six hours.

We have floated under them gobbling and killed them, not my favorite but meat is meat. Called them up to the boat when water was high too, but most of the time we set up on river dumps if we got one hot.

I cannot tell all my secrets but I am a couple counties over. I have been through the Obion wma by river just riding and it looks fairly easy to kill a bird in that area.

I don't mean easy because there are no gaurantees with turkeys but going in by river is the only way I would hunt some of these wma's just because of the other hunters and more ground coverage.
