What is WEATHERSHIELD? What is this call if I get a gunsmith to do it. I have read about it some on TC's site best I can tell it is a dip or something like that. Thank for any INFO.

Its like a nickel plating. Its not a true stainless steel. It does help prevent rust but won't stop it completely.

Seems like it is better then nickel plating to me, but I could be wrong have been many times.
