HA! Honestly, people are losing all ability to communicate. Yeah they are, kids will set beside each other and text the person beside them instead of talkin.
Reminds me of the Duck Dynasty epsiode where Phil took his grandsons fishing... I use text lingo because I don't have a qwerty keypad (and don't want one), but I mainly text people when I want them to get/respond to a message at their convenience. You are very right that society is slowly losing its ability to effectively communicate. The written and spoken word is in grave danger.

My wife went back to school to get her BS and says the kids are at a loss when trying to write essays. They want to short hand everything, it’s more like their texting instead of writing. I dread to see what the future holds with today’s Generation “X”…

also txting can be taken the wrong way soooo many times because words do not have any emotions attached ever HOW the person feels is how they take it
