I'm in need of a old Stag horn barrel or the whole muzzle loader if you have it laying around.I'm trying to find one for this stock i got now after last night.
This muzzle loader From a Good genital man on here that offered it. But the breach plug was stuck. Well i read some posts on here that if you soak it in hot water for a couple of hours it would break it loose and you will be able to remove the stuck breach plug.
Well i must have got some hot water because it warped the barrel pretty bad.I been looking on the internet for a replacement barrel with no luck.
So if anyone has a good used barrel laying around please let me know i want to suprize my little cousin this Christmas.

no way will hot water warp a barrel. Contact cva and see what they can do.
My guess is who ever owned the gun before may have had it in a vise and bent the barrel that way.

Well i got it off of here in the Pay it forward thread.
But i'll call them and see what happens they might give me the run a round. But thats ok i'll find a other barrel when i get a chance

It takes a pretty good effort to bend a barrel. Since it looks like you've got nothing to lose, you can always try to straighten it by bending it back.
One other thing that I thought of was that it was possible the drill wandered a little when the bore was drilled. This might give you the impression of a warped barrel when looking through the bore. I've seen stranger things than this with some of the imported barrels.
My suggestion is to put it back together and see how it shoots before looking for another barrel. Just a warning, replacement barrels can get quite pricey.....even the used ones. Most of the time they'll cost more than the gun is worth.

well i called CVA and they don't make anymore barrels for that model. so i'll be looking on ebay and other sites and see what i can come up with.
