There is still a lot coming by check from the fine members here, he will want for nothing this season.

I am proud to be a member here.

We are way passed what his dad had at this point.

Understood, and you are much closer to the situation than I ever will be. I just wouldn't want to gloss over that "emotional link" of tying it somehow to his father.

I hope that didn't sound rude, as it's not intended to be. Do you know what I'm trying to say?

Maybe have his dad's initials engraved on it if it's wood stock. That would be a great touch, IMO

Slaughter if I can help in ANY way man you have my phone #.. I have a 308 but it would not be suitable for this (tactical 700 20" bull - very heavy) so all I can do is help you look if you need me to. I saw a NICE scope offered up on here so maybe you could get a top notch rifle and throw that top notch scope on it... either way, call me if I can help in any way

With what has been donated for this young man by some very awesome people, he can have a very nice custom set up with optics included. That being said, if its needed pm me and its on the way.

WOW! Just saw we were over 600 last count with checks in the mail too!! That is great and youre correct - a NICE rifle and NICE glass are no doubt in his future!

I just got off the phone with his mother, I figured I better check with mom before I came knocking on the door. to say she was shocked and beside herself is a major understament!
We both broke down with the shear magnatude of the generosity of you amazing people! To the point we had to end the conversation. she said call her to let her know when and where to be and she would see to it he would be there. and that maybe she would be able to talk then without crying.

God Bless you all!
