I see one problem with the chart that people look at how much we receive from the federal govt vs how much we give. The govt spends more then it collects so the fact is we all get more then we give now. But if you take out the money that we borrow. You also have to take out social security as that is paid to people if they live in other countries also. Then you have the money that the states receive in there books but is mandated to pay for something a state would not pay for if the feds did not mandate it. I think the state of TN would fair quite well with out the money trucks coming our way but we may have to give some of Memphis to what ever state would take them.

Wayne brings up an excellent point.
WITHOUT deficit spending the ENTIRE MAP would show everybody paying more than they receive.
The should factor in what all those freebies actually cost.
Factor in lower wages.
Factor in Unemployment.
Factor in inflation.
Factor in interest on the debit.
Factor in the loss of freedom a money hungry government causes.

According that that site, all the Blue states (with the exception of Texas) give more to govt. than they receive and all the states receiving more than they give are red states. Even California gives more than it receives when nearly 30% of all welfare spending for the entire country is in the CA?
