I missed a doe while archery hunting at LBL a few years ago - shot at her while my pants were still around my ankles! I missed, but then I had to look around to make sure no one had seen me. I think I was more concerned about stepping in a mess rather than concentrating on the shot. Pretty sure I heard her laughing over the next ridge...

Do you have something negative to say bout everything if you jus don't comment on my post thank you When you get to be Bowriters age you can get away with being a pain in the Butt. It use to bother me when folks could not understand when i was joking. It doesn't any more, I just chalk it up to being raised drinking bad water. There was nothing negative about any of my posts. They were dang jokes about two grown men leaving the woods because one of them has to take a crap. Then. they stop along the way to cut the head off a ortting buck. When I have to crap, I don't have time to hardly get my pants off, let alone walk somewhere and stop to cut a deer's head off. Maybe I just see humor in more places that others. See, many years ago I wrote a full magazine feature on what spooks deer. In that feature, I mentioned the several times I have killed and heard about deer being killed while performing that exact act. I have never understood how a deer can tell what the smell is. But you do have to watch where you walk. In other words, get a life.

I refuse to mess up the woods with a good poop. If I have the runs or trots I'm trotting my a** home. If someone else is driving they are taking me.ASAP.

Well said Stik. One of life's ost satisfying things a really good, deer woods crap. That is why so many hunters have only one sleeve on their undershirts.
And...there is no way you are going to mess up the woods. Oh, wait...that may be a play on words. Good one...mess up the woods. Goes with, if it is brown, it is down. Maybe sometimes slightly yellow.
Doe I killed three weeks ago, the big one, was just about five yards from a steamer. That way, she couldn't smell me. Thisun was lessen 10-yards from a recent evacuation. Buddyhelped me drag him out. Conversation went: Me, "Watch out, don't step in that...Oh well."
Him, " @#$%^&*(ksp;ljkwr67890 Blaaaak."
