I normally hunt 30'. I take a 30' rope and judge my height by that. Where I hunt, I can never find a tree small enough in circumference at the base to get a climber on (rarely use) or even a strap around to hold climbing sticks that is also big enough to support a stand at 50'....once I get about 30', the trunk narrows so much that windy days can be an adventure. lol.
How many limbs did you have to cut to get that high?
You must be in mature timber. Where I hunt the canopy would block alot of your view at that height..
good luck and be safe...!

Bottom hunter - didn't cut a single limb. Tree was bare all the way up, pretty common for walnuts I think.
