I think the press conference at 2:30 will be an opportunity for him to take immediate control of the situation....... We will see how that goes, then make a decision on him.......

Sad to think this was the best TN could do. No offense to Jones Id take the money too, but Hart blew this one. The one good thing about this is it saved me $800 because I wont be buying tickets next year

3 of the first 6 in 2013 are probably losses, and would be no matter what the coach's name is. BINGO!
If you will reread my post, I never said a bigger name would change the losses we will endure next year.
A bigger name would however be granted more leeway, and instill more confidence. Confidence equates to fan patience, and that's what's needed an UT because it's going to take several seasons to get even close to where we need to be.

I agree, to be seriously competitive in the SEC you have to recruit the BEST athletes available, and a no name coach at a school with several years of losing records under its belt wont make it happen! Even a big name would require a few seasons to prove to players and fans alike that he could build a program and start getting the best recruits! I predict another 3 year and out miserable failure! Not because he isnt a good guy or a decent coach, because of the situation he's been put in!

Nobody can predict how good or bad he'll do. For all you know, he may come in and be an excellent recruiter. Everybody seems to have an opinion about him and he isn't even here yet. Not every coach can start off in the SEC and work their way up. Some actually start off in other conferences and come over. I don't think it's a bad hire at all considering Strong, Gundy, Gruden, and apparently Fedora turned down the job. Who else should they have went after?

Put yourself in the chair of a big time hs recruit.....you have it all.....size, speed and with a couple of years in the weight room you will start at an SEC school with a good shot at the next level.......at least that is what saben, richt and spurrier have told you already.........
and butch jones wants you too?
I don't think so.........
