Passed on a young six this morning in Hickman county. Not what I wanted, I'm gonna wait for a big chorus frog to step out and then harvest it for bowriter. Gonna sit in stand another hour or two. I will be here all day today and half of tomorrow at eyeseeker's place. And he just shot something, not sure what yet. Deer are moving this morning.

Nice, as much as I love seeing deer down. I enjoy watching the young ones walk away just as much.
Good luck, I'll be out tomorrow moring warm and rain be damned. I need to get some of the city stink off me and get in the woods.

Saw a doe and 2 yearlings at 5:15 pm yesterday feeding on acorns like crazy. All 3 got a free pass, until next week!

Glad you enjoyed passing up the young buck.
. . . . . a bit far across the property to be the same deer unless he was truckin. Maybe, maybe not. A young man like yourself, simply walking at a brisk pace, can easily go 1 mile in about 20 minutes. When bucks are out "roaming", they're often traveling about this pace.
1/2 mile away = about 10 minutes
A perfectly square 160-acre property is 1/2-mile across. A perfectly square 640-acre property is only one mile across.
A perfectly square 2,560-acre property (4 square miles) is only 2 miles across, and can take as little as 40 minutes to walk across.
Good luck on that double.
